Unit 12996
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: North
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: burial; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: Burial fill unit from multiple burial in building 60, space 278, platform F.2225. This unit represents the grave fill for all of SK13132 and 13125 (two disarticulated skulls), the disarticulated skeletal features in the upper levels in pit, and the upper levels of SK12935, SK13132, and SK13126. The unit was arbitrarily ended once three articulated skeletons (12935, 13132, 13126) were visible. This grave fill unti therefore consists of the burial fill for the upper levels of several individuals.
At least were disturbed, probably for the burial of three articulated individuals (12935, 13132, and 13126), and their elements were returned to the pit post interment of the three articulated people.
