Unit 13557
Category: Layer dug in 2007
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: wall brick
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick
Discussion: It is a fragment of the wall of the N-S alignment consisting of two courses of mudbricks in its S part, and one course of mudbricks in the N part, in addition to one layer of mortar (u. 13558). This wall is certainly younger than adjacent walls 13560, 13561, 13563. It was truncated by later cuts which led to its destruction from the west. Southern part of the wall is placed beyond the excavated area. The preserved dimensions of mudbricks are the following: (from N to S): upper course: 0.48 x 0.15 x 0.05 / 0.16 x 0.15 x 0.005; bottom course: 0.82 x 0.24 x 0.10 / 0.12 x 0.24 x 0.10
