Discussion: Adult male (>45 years) buried lying on his left side in a relatively shallow grave within platform F1656
The bone is in good condition andwell preserved with the exception of the lower R ribs which have been disturbed by burrowing.
The body was incomplete but fleshed when placed in the grave with all limbs, including the scapula and clavicle, being removed priorto interment.
The body ssem to have been somewhat forced into the grave as the head is nearly vertical against the grave edge and the upper cervical vertebrae are twisted. Subsequent pressure appears to have caused the facial bones to collapse and crush ino the mandible.
No grave godswere found.
