Unit 13661

Area: North

Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit; Deposition: homogeneous; Basal Spit: basal deposit
Discussion: Fill of post removal pit, filled in quickly after post was removed. The top 15cm of fill contained large lumps of plaster, some of which was painted red, presumably resulting from damage caused when the post was removed.
The coloured plaster may suggest the pillar was originally decorated with a red painted design.
