Discussion: ***Excavated 26/07/12 by KTX
This unit comprises the mudbrick material of wall f. 2427. This particular type of brick is dark-brown/gray in color and on of several other building materials. The bricks, which are roughly 30 cm in width and vary in length (there is by no means a "standard size!"), were placed in two rows. The length can be up to 50 cm, making it hard to believe they were carried there, but were most likely formed in their final position. Only two layers of brick remained on this wall, of which the top layer was deterioraed to half its size. In the row toward the inside of the sp.310, three layers existed in some parts. This was due to the slope of the basal boundry, which needed to be compensated in order to build a straight wall. The wall material was artificially cut before the corner in order to not mix material from different brick types.
