Unit 14050

Category: Layer    dug in 2006

Area: South

Interpretive Categories: Bin make-up

Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: bin; Material: pise-like; Deposition: homogeneous

Description: Same as 14048/14049. The plaster has been molded contemporarily. No archive - See 14049

Discussion: This deposit seem to act as a buffer between the two bins. The material is the same as the bin structures, however it was most likely constructed before the bin walls, perhaps with the use of wooden plates. After this material dried out, the walls of the two bins were added to either of its sides. The orientation of the plant impressions hint to its production. Almost all are vertically placed within the matrix which would form the deposit was shaped while it was still plastic.
