Discussion: The cut of F.3317, unit 15142 for the skeleton, appears to have been truncated by previous excavation. The cut was unclear from an overview, but could be seen from the E section (side view). The cut does not go as far east (down slope) as the skeleton, the bones have eroded downslope and have been disturbed - especially being to close to the surface 

 

Recognition: constistency of soil - compact versus loose for burial 

Definition: truncated by previous units, but elongated rounded edges 

Execution: trowel, brush 

Condition: hot, in shade 

Shape: west end cut out previously, rounded edges on top and bottom 

Sides: angled down and in towards skeleton 

Base Break: rounded break 

Base: mostly flat, uneven at sections 

Orientation: west-east direction
