Discussion: This is the second layer of plaster, underlying the floor (15170) of Space 446. The two floor layers are separated by fill (15191). This second floor is visible in the NW corner of space 446, it was heavily disturbed by rodent holes and previous excavation. Discussion with East Mound colleagues suggests that we are looking at a typical floor construction technique - one layer of plaster, one layer of make-up and one second layer of plaster. 15190 is earliest layer of plaster. This layer is the least preserved of the three, and in section it indicates that the whole floor slopes down towards the SE, and up in the N section towards the E, connecting to the layer of phytoliths (15171) interpreted as a mat.

NOTED THAT TOTAL STATION POINTS TAKEN ON 18.8. ARE INCORRECT - THIS CONCERNS LEVEL FOR THIS UNIT - WILL BE FIXED LATER, INSCHA'ALLAH.
