Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: NS = 40cm; EW = 19cm; depth = 1.5 cm
Discussion: This unit could be interpreted as a continuation of plaster foor U. 15395. With a flat dark orange - brown surface it shows the same characteristics as U. 15935 and the fact that it is located roughly same height as U. 15935 and likewise directly beneath floor U. 15371, strogly suggest the possibility of both U. 15395 and U. 15398 being different partions (E and W respectively) of the same floor feature. The extent of this unit 15398 is clear to the S (where it gives way to U. 16927) and W (where it dissapears), but not towards the N where it is likely to continue under floor U. 15371 and to the E, where it lies in part under 15371 and in ??? It seems to continue ito the E baulk. The extension of the banch towards the E and the removal of /u. 15371 would shed further light on the extent and characteristics of this floor. All in all, this floor is likely to be an event replastering of U. 16927 and previous to U. 15371.
Season 2013: This floor, discovered and investigated in 2011, was removed as part of one collective unit 31186 in 2013.
