Discussion: Mudbrick in mudbrick wall F.2428, the northern wall of space 340.

JHB 2012: This unit is the western part of F.2428 of B.98. All material from the wall, excluding plaster, was included in this unit (construction material, mudbrick, mortar). The wall was removed back to the between wall fill, just before the interface with wall F.2429 to the north and wall F.5074 to the west. No discernable mortar lines or brick lines were visible in the wall, but a section (eastern half) was left for future investigation. In the northern interface with wall F.2429, large patches of light yellow plaster (or mortar) were found. This unit was completed at the very end of the 2012 season and requires further investigation.

Colour: dark gray, brown 

Texture: silt 

Bedding: heterogeneous 

Inclusions: pottery, animal bone, stone, obsidian, shell, pigment 

Post-depositional Features: rodent burrows 

Basal Boundary: floor of B.98 (not yet reached)
