Discussion: 18393 was the outermost plaster layer on both buttress phases F.5057 and F.3372. It was removed without counting or sampling. Under it, the brick of the features showed up. The plastering was very patchy, completely missing in some parts, very crumbly, and of uneven thickness. It might have represented several layers of plastering, but these could not be distinguished from each other. After the upper part of the buttress had been removed, its original plaster coating 18384 showed up in the lower part and predated 18393.

Colour: yellowish white 

Texture: marl = sandy clay 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: none 

Post-depositional Features: animal holes 

Basal Boundary: irregular
