Unit 19085
Category: Layer dug in 2010
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: wall plater layers
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: building; Material: plaster; Deposition: heterogeneous; Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: layer 19085 is situated about 20-25 layers above 19078 and ca. 10-15 layers above 19077. The fire seems to have destroyed the area beneath the ram's head/niche because it is severely fragmented and burned. There seems, however, to have been a broad red rim with a lip at the bottom, as also seen on the NE wall. The Niche had a broad red frame around it, in a rectangular shape, but seems to have been decorated with white plaster on the inside. It was also likely that in line with the red frame (underneath) there was a thin red line, which is only visible in tiny fragments.
