Category: Layer dug in 2012
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Wall painting
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: plaster; Deposition: layered (wall plaster); Basal Spit: painted
Discussion: Red and grey geometric design.
Plaster layers with red and grey geometric design on eastern wall, revealed 2010. Excavated in order to investigate underlying layers. Slightly different texture on N end, layers more adhered and less easily separable. There is a repair to the wall associated with this unit/painting (a raised area). Northern end there is normal texture of wall plastering, southern end suffered episode of burning which makes layers more easily separated. This layer corresponds to the geometric painting that was excavated in 2010 (U.19051).
