Discussion: Bones (human) from this unit were also found in U.20202 (the infill of Sp. 40) but mainly in or in close connection to animal holes cutting 20202 and not in the actual layer.
According to the humann anthropologists, this person was probably buried later than the adult below (19472), as 19472 is disturbed but 19484 quite well preserved and articulated to a larger extent.
Close to the mandible of 19484 were three green stone beads in a line, X-find no.1 of U.20203.
X and Y of Targets: Target A - X: 1056.14; Target A - Y: 1192.21; Target B - X: 1056.82; Target B - Y: 1192.06; Target C - X: 1056.7; Target C - Y: 1192.7; Target D - X: 1056.17; Target D - Y: 1192.98
Body: Flexed, lying on its left side. Legs toward chest, head to the E.
Head: Missing
Right Arm: Hands probably closed, under the individualis flexed legs. Right hand with palm down.
Left Arm: Left hand with palm upwards.
Right Leg: Legs had fallen to the left, but where probably folded with knees towards the chest.
Left Leg: Legs had fallen to the left, but where probably folded with knees towards the chest.
Other comments: Well preserved with a high degree of articulation. Feet and hands articulated. Cranium missing, but mandible roughly in the right position and close to three beads in a line (U20203, X1). Hyoid and first cervical vertebra also found in situ indicating that the cranium was present when this individual was interred.
