Discussion: Unit 20099 is a succeeding white plaster layer belonging to bench F.3439. The range of this unit included also slight remnants of make-up layer which were sealing white plaster layer just close to the basis of the bench on its S edge.
This unit was found underneath layer of grey plaster (U.18978). When U.18978 was excavated, it was found that the bench is full plaster bar with a small layer of packing material as a basis at the very bottom of the bench. It seemed to be impossible to distinguish and excavate every single of one milimetre layer one by one. That is the main reason why we decided to lump recognizeable layers together as a one unit.
We decided to stop excavating this compound layer when we found the red painting on the layer below it.
