Unit 20169

Category: Layer    dug in 2012

Area: TPC

Interpretive Categories: Pit infill

Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit; Deposition: heterogeneous

Dimensions: 1.58 x 1.45 x 1.25 m

Discussion: This was a lower infill layer of a pit dated back to the late period (as indicated by large amount of big fragments of late pottery). The infill was very friable (at some places), loose consistency. Two layers have been distinguished within - first: blackish one, and the other, located underneath - very ashy, loose and multicolor (spots of different colour including pink, yellow, green, and other light colours). This infill might be related to some kind of destroyed (oven?) construction that was located in W part of the pit. Some small parts of it were unearthed.
