Discussion: This infill is part of the posthole feature 3959. It was not very deep, especially in the northern part. In the section however one can see that the part excavated was the bottom of the posthole and that there was more soil above it also part of the infill. This posthole extends into the western section of the trench. This feature is thought to be a later period posthole, possibly hellenistic and associated with the other pits in trench 2.
