Unit 20676
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: brick
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: During the execution of the wall F.3627 it was possible to record 13 courses of bricks all along the whole Eastern wall of Sp.488/489. The preservation of the described constructional material facilitate to distinguish particular components of the wall and record their dimensions. The heights of the bricks evaluated from 5-9 cm, their width oscillated between 31 and 32cm and length 85-91cm. Additionally, within the wall there were also half-size components evidenced. The latter was particularly noticeable in the southern part of the feature.
