Unit 20694
Category: Cut dug in 2013
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Cut for pit
Data Category Information: Description: pit
Discussion: It was excavated with trowel. The cut was most easily defined on top. At basal sides it was somewhat harder, because of the fill. The cut only contained one fill (20689). The cut was almost U-shaped in section, and my thoughts have been about what it was made for, possibly a post, but it is hard to tell, because its extent is not known. However the cut could just as well been made for any other function.
Shape: Oval, round, but goes into Northern trench wall.
Sides: Concave and sloping gradually
Base Break: Sharp, but slightly curved
Base: Flat base, uneven surface. Almost U-shaped in section
