Discussion: The bricks of N foundation wall in space 558, the bricks were same as in walls F8003 and F8005, they were 24 cm wide, 7 cm high and around 90 cm long, due to being exposed for a long time they were heavly eroded. The wall was slightly leaning to the south At first glance the bricks were thought to be mortar however upon excavating it become clear that the bricks are actually grey and the mortar is yellow. The unit seems to continue beyond of limit of excavation, The N face of F8004 was exposed for a long time and it seems to continue at least half-way under building 97 making the U20894 2,5m longer (up to 3,6 m in total)
Consistency: Friable (heavy wheathered)
Colour: light grey
Texture: silty clay
Bedding: massive
Inclusions: few small flecks of charcoal and mineral inclusions
Post-depositional Features: animal burrows, erosion and weathering at the N part
Basal Boundary: sharp anthropogenic
