Unit 20947
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Burial fill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: burial; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: This burial fill was recognized by a softer consistency of the soil within the boundaries of the cut. It was excavated by wooden sculptural tool, leaf trowel and wooden stick. The evidence for the existence of this burial fill was that during the excavation of burial F. 7130 more skeleton material started coming out from the upper levels further to the north of the cut. We realized that the skull uncovered must have belonged to another individual (juvenile). Therefore we shifted focus to the north of F. 7130, looking for a cut for this burial (F. 7136). Upon locating it to the north of the area, excavation took place. The fill belongs to a primary partially disturbed juvenile skeleton.
