Unit 21069

Category: Layer    dug in 2015

Area: TPC

Interpretive Categories: hearth infill

Data Category Information: Description: fire spots (non-structured)

Discussion: This was an infill of the hearth in N-central part of trench 4. İt was cut by later pit F.7371. The shape of it was originally oval. It was relatively shallow, about 12 cm. Because it was cut by F.7371 it is hard to indicate relations between this unit and burnt layer located to the west of them. It is higly possıble that burnt layer F.7271 was connected wıth the hearth.
The infill of hearth was very soft. It contained many lenses of ash and charcoal. In a few parts there were visible micro-layers of burnt soil. The layer was multicoloured, mainly dark gray. In some parts it was orange. It was probably caused by temperature.
