Description: Clear cut in platform F.7317. Clearly defined to its surroundings in plan, more vague further down and especially so to the end. 

Discussion: Clear cut into floor on platform in NW corner och space 513, building 119. The cut was probably made to retrieve a post. The cut was formed by hacking and shoveling and later filled with u.21177. The walls are very steep in E, W and S, more sloped in N.

The interpretation of retrieval pit is based on the fact that there are clear post marks on the surrounding walls, and that the pit is much larger than the probable size of the suggested post. 

Shape: Irregular oval 

Sides: Vertical in E, S and W, sloped in N. 

Base Break: Sharp in E, S and W, sloping in N. 

Base: Irregular flat.
