Interpretive Categories: Layer of ash from last usage of oven.,Part of infill. 

Data Category Information: Deposition: homogeneous

Description: Relatively thin layer of ash between oven infill and uppermost oven floor. 

Discussion: The unit was recognized as a separate unit as soon as the last bit of infill was taken out. The layer was very homogenous ashy silty sand. I believe that this layer represents the last (one or couple of) usage phase of the oven, before the roof collapse and coverage of infill. It is located directly on top of the youngest oven floor, with multiple X finds in it, actualy including U21504 - bone cluster In E part of oven.

The unit was excavated with a leaf trowel.
