Discussion: Cut 21384 was not really recognized at first but was more logically defined after the removal of what remained of the hearth F.1482 after 8 years of erosion (-> arbitrary layer u.21329).

Indeed, after the removal of u.21329 a print was visible in infill u.30529 of floor F.2176 according to this and to the way a hearth could be built at Catalhoyuk, a cut was defined from that print.

This cut is thus the very eroded remains of hearth F.1482 (after both erosion and burning of the building).

Please cf. feature sheet F.1482 for discussion about its circular shape (vs. the more rectangular shape of hearth exposed in 2006).
