Discussion: The plaster layer on the inside of the oven superstructure was defined and seperated from its surroundings by differences in texture, colour and not least the smooth surface of the outer layers, facing the inside of the oven.

The layer was compounded by at least six phases of plaster. Parts of the (probable) top of the superstructure was found as collapse debris in the oven infill.

The unit was excavated using leaf trowel. 

Consistency: Firm to friable 

Colour: Yellowish to reddish brown 

Texture: Grass tempered wall plaster 

Bedding: Layered

Basal Boundary: Constructional, gradual, distinct, smooth, inverted slopes of various steepnes.
