Discussion: Since the construction of the oven, it has been repaired a number of times. It is impossible, or at least very difficult, to define each and every single repair phase. That is why all repairs are grouped under this unit no (u.21576). The silty clay of repair have been put on places of the oven where the wall is very thin, with a certain focus on the E slope.
The unit was excavated with leaf trowel.
Noteworthy is a layer of soot, sampled from front, N entrance 'wing', S1 8see sketch).
