Unit 21618
Category: Cut dug in 2014
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: cut of a scoop
Data Category Information: Description: scoop
Description: The cut of a scoop was recorded in S-part of B.132 next to foundation cut u.22076.
Discussion: The cut (U.21618) appeared to be a round and very shallow indentation placed in the vast room-fill (U.22080) that covered the whole interior of B.132 (predecessor of B.77). It seems that conducting the cut was involved with the aim of placing within it a special (foundation?) deposit comprised of burned plants (infill u.21617), that took place before erection of the new structure (B.77). From stratigraphical point of view the relation with the cut (U.21620) of a pit (F.7623) which truncated scoop in its SE part, is interesting.
