Unit 21673
Category: Layer dug in 2015
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: brick within constructional element
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: Within the feature 7858 there were 3 courses of bricks (u21673) recognized. They extended to the length of 3,30m and were oriented N-S. They alignment and placement allow to imply that they were set as constructional element stabilizing the foot of the western wall (F.3097) of B.77. They were set directly on the surface of the room-fill (u21622) that sealed the underlying B.132. The bricks from the highest course were eroded. For that reason it was possible to record only 3 cm of their thickness. However, the lower layers of the building material preserved in good condition which facilitated to measure general dimensions: 0,73m x 0,45m x 0,07m.
