Unit 22118
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Southern wall of bin
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: bin; Material: plaster; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: Upper parts of bin walls of F3698 appeared to be a single bonded plaster construct and were removed as a single unit (U. 20923), to about floor level (floor U. 30161). At this level the cross section of the bin walls showed a more complex construction/repair sequence. A small gap/crack separates the south wall (U. 22118) from the front/west wall (U. 22102), and a further gap separates the west and north walls, so each wall has been defined individually from this level down.
Partially excavated i 2014.
Consistency: Firm
Colour: Grey-white plaster
Texture: clay (Plaster)
Bedding: Massive
Inclusions: <2% tiny white flecks
Post-depositional Features: Upper parts of bin walls excavated as U20923 (approx. 21cm vertical removed before unit was distinguished)
Basal Boundary: Not yet reached (2014)
