Discussion: 22291 is the mortar of the bench/recess F1488. Associated with bricks u22262.
22291 lies at the bottom of F1488 where it sits on the same kind of red make as u22269.This last thus covers the whole u22282 floor in order to build first F1488 and then the rest of u22269 (plaster) but as part of the same constructional event.
Consistency: strong
Colour: grey
Texture: silty clay
Bedding: massive
Inclusions: many very small fragments of yellow bricks, white plaster, black charcoal, (midden like mortar?)
Post-depositional Features: none
Basal Boundary: very sharp and constructional with bricks u22262 ; cut u22292 into wall F2014 ; and the red make up (same as the one of u22269) at the interface with the underneath plaster layer u22282.
