Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick; Deposition: homogeneous
Description: Brick dimensions roughly 50 x 25 x 8 cm.
Discussion: The mud brick from internal partition wall F. 7708 is orange and loose, extremely damaged by the fire started in sp. 504. It was not excavated in 2015.
Excavated in 2017. 5 brick courses survived intact. Of interest is that the bottom three courses of brick were not adhered by mortar, and the 4th course counting up (which rested atop mortar) had no mortar between two of the three surviving bricks. Above the 3rd course wall was cut into to make niche F.8372. Brick dimensions in 4th course (clearest) 48 x 25 x 8 cm and 52 x 25 x 7 cm.
