Discussion: - The oval cut U.23611 outlining a pit F.8346 in the North, North-Western part of the Sp.531 had been difficult to identify at first moment due to the same composition as the surrounded leveling deposit U.32761. The latter circumstance was caused trouble with defining the actual extent of the pit from the mentioned background. However, in the course of the excavation it became clear that the cut had considerable distinctiveness within the lower stratum, and it reaches quite distinct depth (>>>). The original intention that enlightened the execution the oval cut became clear after discovering the skeleton U.23617 on the bottom part of the pit. As such, the cut 23611 must be regarded as the burial cut performed for funeral purposes just before laying down the floors of the sp.531.
