Discussion: Clay figurine fragment (?) behind thoracic vertebrae 11-12, between vertebrae and ribs. How did it get there? Possibly placed on top of vertebral column and fell down through soil after decomposition of soft tissue. Shell directly under skull.

This was excavated as earlier than Burial 274, however in post-excavation and indeed during excavation it became apparent that Burial 277 was later, seen due to the displacement of burial 274 which was partially beneath burial 277 too.

X and Y of Targets: Target A - X: 912.59; Target A - Y: 980.8; Target C - X: 912; Target C - Y: 980.06; Target D - X: 0; Target D - Y: 0

Body: Very tightly contracted with knees to chin. Lies on left side.

Head: Squashed from pressure of earth. On left side. Inarticulation with vertabrae.

Right Arm: In articulation. Arms lie under legs.

Left Arm: In articulation. Arms lie under legs but over left tibia with hand at feet.

Right Leg: In articulation. Tightly contracted with knees to chin.

Left Leg: In articulation. Tightly contracted with knees to chin.

Other comments: The body is in full articulation. Old brakes on the left tibia, mandibul and skull, both radii and ulnae. Probably as a result of weight of soil on skeleton. Skeleton is that of a mature male. Salt and charcoal in matrix surrounding skeleton.

Surface Modifications: Some black manganese staning on all elements of the skeleton.
