Discussion: cut of eàrly oven/niche? Rubble in-fill of which is apparently sealed by the platform F.7954. I. Hodder considers the 'scar' in the wall 7705 to be that of the ladders associated with F7964 within 7954. However, a cursory examination of the interface between 30098 and 30099 suggested that rather than being caused by erosion of 7705 fabric the rubble (designated 30099) was sitting within a cavity within the wall 7705. If so then the linings 32300 and 32301 of F. 7984 would have sealed this context (30099) to form a shallow cavity that respected the leading, western edge of Platform 7954.
