Unit 30106
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: pit infill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit
Discussion: Pit was recognized thanks to its colour (darker than surrounding) and consistency (softer). Pit infill was composed mainly of charcoal and ash, as well as lumps of clay and brick, although the brick and clay were more common in U.20967. It was possible that pit infill was related to the posthole. Maybe plaster and other wall material (from wall localized against the pit) was removed (collapsed) because on the wall we have not found plaster, that was cut. This pit was excavated with the trowel.
