Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: burial

Discussion: The unit was recognized by its colour (darker), consistency (softer) and texture that differenciated it from its surroundings. The unit is interpreted as infill in a burial pit for a late burial. The finds in the unit are of different time periods, mixed, and seem to be randomly positioned within the fill. The unit fills up a cut on both sides and on top of a brick wall (see feature number). The limits of the infill were not always easy to identify. Some parts (especially south) seem to be arbitrarily limited.

Colour: Dark grey on top, dark brown at the bottom 

Texture: Silty clay 

Bedding: Layered 

Inclusions: Natural stone, brick
