Discussion: Cut 30537 was exposed as we removed PLT F.2177. It was never covered with plaster or seal and was thus probably made right before the construction of PLT F.2177 with infill u.20657.

Cut 30537 being empty of any goods; reached and followed a previous cut of feature 7555 (cut u.21330). Filled up with a single passive layer of infill (u.30536). Not covered by any seal the last operation of PLT F.2174 before the construction of F.2177 above it. It is probably the retrieval cut of a cache (F.7555). 

Shape: Circular 

Sides: Stepped on the eastern side with a plastered floor (from previous stage of F.2174). This step could have been done during excavation (seeing a cut being more difficult in the infill than through a floor layer) and the original side of the cut could have been sloping… But this step is more likely belonging to a previous cut of F.7555 in a previous stage of PLT F.2174 -> cut u.21330. 

Base Break: Seems to be almost right-angled 

Base: Flat in most of the bottom but irregular in the most northeastern part
