Unit 30782
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: TPC
Interpretive Categories: mudbrick and oil in SW corner
Data Category Information: Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: This is a layer of soil mixed with the mudbrick in the SW corner of Trench 2. It was distinguished some time ago, hovewer it was dug now, as the ladder stands in this place. It is a part of an undisturbed sequence, which remained untouched by later truncations that destroyed a large part of B. 121. Its stratigraphical position is unclear as it is not connected by any feature or building. It is truncated by pit cut (F.7255, see plan no 13/355, U. 30822).
The layer consists of multicoloured silty clay soil. On top in its W part, there were two big orange bricks. A few much smaller fragments of bricks were also found inside the layer. Other inclusions comprised of numerous small animal bones.
