Area: Trench 5

Interpretive Categories: bin,storage installation

Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: building

Description: probable bin in the SW corner of the building 98 (storage installation)

Discussion: This unit is part of previous season excavations (2012), which was not defined as separate feature of the building 98. It appears to be a corner of probable bin which needs to be further confirmed. It is consisted of a rim/wall (a low one) which forms the bin with shallow interior. The whole structure is applied to the floor 16997 as it is clearly indicated by the apparent levels of clay with various colour. The northern rim of the bin ends in front of the plaster of western wall. On couple spots is disturbed by animal burrows.

TSK 25-08-2013:

On our last day of excavation, I cut a 20 cm deep section into the NE part of Unit 31126. Ist outlines were arbitrary, 50 cm in NS direction and 25 cm in EW direction. The aim was to take a short peek into what lies underneath F. 3385. The section showed two layers of fill. One of dark grey colour ca. 10 cm deep and a second one of brown colour below. The bottom of the later one was red reached (?).
