Discussion: - L-shaped constructional element F.7726 / U.31584 was recorded in the North-Eastern corner of the Sp.531. It was set against the newly erected E-wall F.7736 whose construction reduced considerably the main room of the B.132.
The feature F.7726 was made of the different types of the reused building materials U.32765. Amongst the components one can enumerate dark-orange mortar(?), dark-grey bricks and amass of the mid-white plasters inserted into the one construction. The latter might be regarded as a column. However, its original role remains uncertain partially because it was heavily truncated by the later activities undertaken during the abandonment phase.
As regards to the evoked above material that was used for the construction of the column it composed of the components evidently regained from a dismantled plastered structure.
Worth noticing is that the feature F.7726 shared resemblance in many aspects with other construction that was localized in the north-central part of the Sp. 531. Apart from the same sort of material used for construction, they both must have been set after some time of the dwelling the main-room of the B.132. The notion is substantiated by the evidence of the two layers of the earliest floor 32090 that underlain horizontally the columns. The floors indicate that the constructional elements were not the part of the internal-furniture at the first stage of the occupation, but it was erected afterwards for unknown reason. One of the scenario assumes that the construction abutting the NE-corner of the room might have something to do with an decorative installation. The hypothesis is mostly based on the specific placement, which usually was related with more elaborated decorative elements within the buildings on the site. Additional possible function of the feature might have been related with supporting the corner and straightening the E-wall F.7736. as such it might be regarded also as a retention construction. The height of the column remains uncertain mostly due to the state of preservation. Whatever was set on the described spot it had been dismantled in the abandonment phase of the B.132.
