Unit 32604
Category: Layer dug in 2016
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: room infill
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: Layer exposed after remove the floor surface U32469 in the Sp552 of building 160. That layer was partially remove last season in a trench made in the W part of the room. (In that moment they remove this layer using the unit 22337, the primary infill of this space).
So during this season we assigned a new unit number and we remove this infill in the rest of space, until we exposed the U32622, primary room infill.
The room fill was light brown and light grey, quite compact and with quite a lot collapse material in the composition. This collapsed material was mostly plaster, bricks, mortar and also roof remains. During the digging process we recover mostly fragments of bones, natural stones, obsidian and clay ball fragments. Just for methodological proposes we assigned a different number for the room infill of the space 606 but we want to notice that have the same composition and characteristics than the infill U32606 of the main room Sp. 605, so both units are the same.
NOTE: The calculation of litres in that unit belongs only for the firsts 0.20-0,30 cm of the infill, the rest of the volume was calculated together with the U32606.

Finds Room Information:
All material from site passes through the finds room for washing and separating before it is passed onto the various lab teams. The finds room keeps a basic inventory of what is found. A finds material type list is given here. Further analytical detail maybe provided by the Lab Team data below.
