Unit 32611
Category: Layer dug in 2016
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Arbritari infill of the burial
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: burial; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: Arbitrary layer around the sk. 32608 assigned to the burial F7849 as an infill. This burial didn’t have a cut, because seems that the body was just thrown out on the primary room infill, and afterwards was covered from the room infill U32606. Anyway, the intention of that arbitrary layer was study against the flotation if there are elements than can give more information about the body and the process of what it was deposit there. But, the layer itself seems to be the same as the room infill U32606.
One of the things that we detected is than around the body there was quite a lot of spots of micro fauna, but we found also this kind of spots outside the line that we define as a burial infill. Is true that the concentration of this micro fauna remains was mostly in the central part of the building, were the skeleton was found. Have to be define if this micro fauna was deposit on porpoise and is related with the body or was just natural process.
We only want to notice, that the same kind of micro fauna deposit was found in the superstructures of the oven F8160 in the NE part of the side room Sp. 606. In that case we interpreted this, as a foundation deposit.
Microfauna (MF) found on and around skeleton 32608. On femur and abdomal area, and next to skeleton. Around skeleton measured in with total station on 04/07/2016.
