Unit 3386
Category: layer dug in 1998
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: bin element,moulding element
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: moulding; Material: plaster; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: White marly deposit which pre-exc seemed to curve down onto the southern 'skirt' of F.279, but upon exc turned out to be mainly a roughly vertical layer covering part of 3335 to part of 3390 (which 3335 is over). The sketches therefore need to be modified after exc.
3399 is now 3629 while 3399 is further east. All so complicated.
Its just another marly layer slapped on to this feature - whether moulded animal head or bin roof!
Recognition: basic id easy cos white, separation from lower white layer only poss on exc
Definition: definition of lateral boundaries visual, on clour; base and back boundaries only on exc and not easy
