Discussion: (4472) was a small remnant of floor layers, associated with (4466) and (4467) to the S. It consisted of a maximum of 5 layers - a thicker ( 10mm ) off-white plaster layer, overlying 5mm layers of light to mid brown clayey silts and off-white plaster. It was located on the W. face of the N. half of wall F.447. 

Recognition: floor layers below plaster (4372) 

Definition: clearly defined layers above darker 'make-up' 

Execution: sectioned and troweled 

Condition: v. slightly moist 

Consistency: soft to firm 

Colour: off-white plaster / light to mid brown 

Texture: clayey silts (% ?) 

Bedding: layered 

Inclusions: none 

Post-depositional Features: none 

Basal Boundary: constructional, abrupt, sl. wavy to smooth
