Unit description: Flot sample 2791 (2) (3) Also 205 l dry sieved Pit fill from a large pit on the west side of space 181. Cut from 4710 (?). The colour is light to medium dark brown, but with little of the very dark staining. There are a relatively large number of 03 and 05 size ribs as well as pig and sheep/goat teeth and foot bones. Comparing the flotation samples, sample 2 (2791) from the top of the pit looks like house infill. Sample 3 and the dry sieved material on the other hand are much more like modest butchery/consumption related discards. Tip fragment of point with modern breaks apparently found in screens.
