Discussion: Narrow ridge of mainly bricky material, running east-west across the width of Space 173, apparently acting as a divide between northern and southern areas, though further north than the clean/dirty divide, and not related to this. May once have stood taller than one course of bricks and then been heavily truncated during a different phase of utilization of the space. 

Recognition: Clear low ridge of bricky material 

Definition: Clearly bounded by floors/make-up above and below 

Execution: Trowel and mattock from edges 

Condition: Hard, dry and truncated 

Consistency: Firm 

Colour: Dark greyish brown 

Texture: Silty clay 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: <2% medium bone and obsidian fragments and charcoal flecks 

Post-depositional Features: Some root and insect disturbance 

Basal Boundary: Clear, smooth, anthropic
