Dimensions: 2.10m x 1.40m x c. 0.12m deep
Description: A series of tips/difficult to distinguish between each depositional even that constitute this second midden stratig + horizon. May have accumed over relatively short period of time.
Recognition: Brutally arbitrary recognition - to define/determine stratigraphic control within the midden.
Definition: Defined as a separate(distinct from (5449)) sequence at midden lenses/deposition events
Execution: mattock, hoe, trowel
Condition: very hot, little wind.
Consistency: compact but a little 'greasy' or 'smeary'. Quite hard to touch and tendency to laminate with mattocked
Colour: Again heterogenous - orangey brown - dark brown with occasional - frequent charcoal specks reqlly very dark and organic looking.
Texture: Greasy clayish silt 45% clay 40% silt rest- sand
Bedding: layered (laminated)
Inclusions: frequent animal bone, large pieces of cow. Also occ. Broken clay ball, stone and obsidian. Mud brick and plaster fragments are also evident.
Post-depositional Features: animal burrowing in section and large ant's nest
Basal Boundary: arbitrary to maintain strat. (?).
