Discussion: It was defined as a designed skull and executed by a leaf trowel under hot and sunny conditions. It was also given a separate number in case. It was associated with the rest of a skeleton. when exposed no other articulated bones were identified. It was thus realised that this was just a skull deposit within the midden. Further excavation of 5466 produced a few other probable human bones - none of them were articulated and all in isolation.
Because of the presence of a small number of potential other human bones within this horizon, it is possible that this midden contained the deflected and completely remains of a human
However the fact that this is the upper part of a skull may also imply that it is related to Skeleton 5477 who was missing his upper part of skull (not part of same skel BB 07/07/10 removed from association to (5479) etc to Space 395 SF 07/07/10)
