Discussion: An arbitrary cut was made according to the set grid, varying from ~5-7 cm deep into deposit of bricky packing, relatively loose, with a lot of irregular surfaces that were covered with salt, which would mean that either the packing of the platform did not happen too quickly or that some organic material was stuck to these blocks of rubble used to build the platform. At the bottom of this arbitrary cut it was possible to distinguish outlines of several possible feature divisions. Most clearly showed up a line of a possible older and smaller platform up to N-wall, by appearing reddish strip (which was to some extent visible from the surface as well). Again here a ground stone frag. was found (X1) which indicated thatpacking of the platform was done with the same debris as fillings of the features in this space.

Finds Room Information:
All material from site passes through the finds room for washing and separating before it is passed onto the various lab teams. The finds room keeps a basic inventory of what is found. A finds material type list is given here. Further analytical detail maybe provided by the Lab Team data below.

Unit description: The dry-sieved bone is not very numerous. It is mostly sheep-size rib and long bone fragments and an almost equal amount of large mammal indeterminate. No diagnostics. The most striking item is a very large amphibian long bone. Sample 2 >4mm flotation 100% sorted. It is a small-moderate sample of mostly little crumbles with some pieces ranging up to 6 cm. The only diagnostic is a fragment of unfused proximal sheep/goat femur. There is a little bit of fish and microfauna. There is a little burning and a little digestion. Surface condition is variable. All in all, it looks like fill. Last number = 1Figurine Records: No GroundStone Records: No Heavy Residue Records: No Microfaunal Records: No
